We have been installing new fencing at FB Fields, ready for the new cricket season.
During Storm Ciaran approximately 350m of ball stop fencing was damaged beyond repair. The ball stop is designed to prevent footballs and cricket balls from leaving the playing fields, making the surrounding area safer for residents and the public.
The new installation varies from 8m on the south side of the field at 10m high on the north side of the field.
The installation has seen a number of delays due to boundary disputes and weather but is on track to be completed in time for cricket to return at the start of the season.

FB fields is on St Clement's Inner Road not far from St Clement's recreation grounds and is open everyday for bookings by schools, clubs & associations.
